Peeling off the bandaid

So, while I know I need to cease and desist with all communications from guy, I'm struggling to do it. Yes, I've deleted his number but I know I could find it again, easily, if I wanted to. Yes, I can choose to ignore his IMs and when I do consider it a shallow victory for myself. But is it really when I want so badly to respond? The guys an idiot and I know it but I'm a bigger one because I'm dumb enough to (try to) hold on to something that no longer exists.
